Data fiduciary
Your institute is the data fiduciary for the personal data processed on this platform. Robin Paper Solutions processes it on your institute's behalf as data processor.
Personal data and purposes (section 5)
Your institute processes identity and contact details, learning and assessment records, attendance, fee records, messages and proctoring events, for these purposes: running your account, teaching, assessment and results, fees, and communication. Optional purposes, each asked separately, are AI processing, research data and marketing. The Privacy Notice lists each item.
Consent (section 6)
- Consent is asked for each purpose separately, in clear words, and is recorded with the version of this notice (2026-10).
- You may withdraw consent at any time from My privacy, as easily as you gave it. Processing stops for that purpose; what happened before withdrawal stays lawful.
- Where the law allows processing without consent (section 7), for example to comply with a legal obligation, your institute relies on it only for that purpose.
Children (section 9)
A person under 18 cannot consent for themselves. Before a child's data is processed, a linked parent or legal guardian gives verifiable consent: a one-time code is sent to the guardian's phone and the consent is recorded only after the code is confirmed. No tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising is directed at children, and marketing consent cannot be given for a child.
Your rights (sections 11 to 14)
- Access: a summary of the personal data held about you and how it is used. Open My privacy and choose “Download my data”; the export is prepared for you as a file.
- Correction and completion: change your profile on My profile; anything you cannot change yourself, your institute corrects on request.
- Erasure: ask for your data to be erased from My privacy (“Erase my data”). Records the law requires your institute to keep (for example fee receipts and accounting entries) are kept for the period the law sets and erased afterwards.
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, from My privacy. Withdrawal does not undo processing that happened before it.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to: write to the grievance officer below.
- Grievance redressal: complain to the grievance officer below. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Grievance redressal (section 13)
your institute has not yet published the name of its grievance officer on this platform. Until it does, send your grievance in writing to your institute's office; it must respond within the period the DPDP Rules set.
Retention and erasure (section 8(7))
Personal data is kept only while it serves its purpose: while you study at or work with your institute, and for 3 years after that, unless the law requires longer. It is then erased, including by Robin Paper Solutions.
Data Protection Board of India
If your grievance is not resolved by your institute, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Your duties under section 15: give accurate information, do not impersonate anyone, and do not file a false or frivolous complaint.
