Who is responsible

Your institute is the data fiduciary: it decides why and how your personal data is processed. Robin Paper Solutions runs the platform and processes the data only on your institute's instructions, as its data processor.

What is collected

  • Identity and contact: name, email, mobile number, date of birth, photo, roll or enrolment number, and the links between students and their parents or guardians.
  • Learning and assessment: courses and batches, attendance, test attempts and answers, uploaded answer scripts, marks, feedback and progress.
  • Proctoring events during a proctored test, and camera images only when the test says so before it starts.
  • Payments: fee dues, receipts and refunds. Card and bank details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by the platform.
  • Messages and notices sent through the platform, and your notification choices.
  • Technical data needed to run the service: sign-in session, device registration for notifications, language and theme choices, and security logs.

Why it is used, and your consent

Your consent is recorded for each purpose separately, with the date, the method and the version of this notice:

  • Service terms and data processing (needed to use the platform): to run your account, teach, assess, publish results, take fees and contact you about your studies.
  • AI processing (optional): to use your data in AI features such as practice suggestions, the assistant and help with checking answer scripts.
  • Research data (optional, asked only where your institute runs research it has approved): to include your de-identified records in that research.
  • Marketing (optional, never for anyone under 18): to tell you about other courses and offers.

No behavioural tracking, profiling for advertising, or targeted advertising is directed at anyone under 18.

Where it is kept and who sees it

The platform's data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Oregon, us-west-2), encrypted in storage and in transit. AI features run through Amazon Web Services in the same region; your data is not used to train public AI models.

Inside your institute, people see only what their role needs: a teacher sees their classes, an accountant sees fees, a parent sees their own children. Every institute's data is kept apart from every other institute's.

Data is shared outside your institute only with service providers that help run the platform (hosting, email, SMS and messaging, payment processing), under contract, or where the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Records are kept while you study at or work with your institute, and for 3 years after that, unless you ask for erasure sooner or the law requires a longer period (for example, for financial records). After that they are erased or de-identified.

Your rights

  • Access: a summary of the personal data held about you and how it is used. Open My privacy and choose “Download my data”; the export is prepared for you as a file.
  • Correction and completion: change your profile on My profile; anything you cannot change yourself, your institute corrects on request.
  • Erasure: ask for your data to be erased from My privacy (“Erase my data”). Records the law requires your institute to keep (for example fee receipts and accounting entries) are kept for the period the law sets and erased afterwards.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, from My privacy. Withdrawal does not undo processing that happened before it.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to: write to the grievance officer below.
  • Grievance redressal: complain to the grievance officer below. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Grievance officer

your institute has not yet published the name of its grievance officer on this platform. Until it does, send your grievance in writing to your institute's office; it must respond within the period the DPDP Rules set.

Cookies

The platform uses only the cookies it needs: one that keeps you signed in, one that protects forms against forgery, and two that remember your language and light or dark theme. There are no advertising cookies.

If something goes wrong

If a personal data breach happens, your institute informs the Data Protection Board of India and each person affected, as the law requires, with what happened and what to do.
